Steep Theatre is located at the corner of Berwyn Ave and Kenmore Ave in Chicago.

Parking

Limited free parking is available at Steep Theatre on a first-come first-served basis. The parking lot will be closed and secured thirty minutes after the performance is over - if you plan to stay in the neighborhood after the show, please plan to move your car.

If the parking lot is full when you arrive, nearby metered street parking is available on both Broadway and Sheridan. These meters operate Monday - Saturday, and parking is free on Sundays. For more information about Chicago parking meters, visit chicagometers.com.

Taxis and Ride Shares

If you plan to arrive by taxi or ride-share service, please ask the driver to drop you off in the parking lot behind the theatre. The entrance to the parking lot is at 5318 N Kenmore Ave. We ask this out of respect for our neighbors and to maintain easy traffic flow on the small one-way street that is Berwyn Ave.

Train Directions

Steep Theatre is very close to the Red Line. The Berwyn Red Line station is currently closed for construction, and the closest available station is located at Argyle. The Argyle Red Line station is located three blocks south and 1.5 blocks west of Steep. If you are planning to come to Steep by train, please allow extra time as ongoing construction sometimes creates delays. Please visit Transit Chicago for the most up to date information.

Bus Directions

Take the #151 or #147 bus and get off at Berwyn and Sheridan. Walk west 1 block and Steep Theatre will be on the north side of the street. During rush hour, the #136 LaSalle Express also stops at Berwyn and Sheridan.

Take the #36 Broadway bus to Berwyn and Broadway. Walk east 2 blocks and Steep Theatre will be on the north side of the street.

Bike Parking

Bike racks are in the works, but they have not yet been installed at Steep’s new home. You may lock your bike to the fence surrounding the parking lot, and we encourage you to lock your bike to the inside of the fence rather than the outside.
